Having finally come to terms with living out the rest of my life as a perpetual child, forever clinging to toys of my childhood and the hope that cartoons will someday have the heart of Bugs Bunny again, DDing this heart-wrenching and subtly brilliant piece is proving to be both extremely difficult and something I can't do fast enough. The mission to "destroy a childhood memory" was certainly a success with Hobbes and its tight, sickly florescent-lit composition. Just between you and me, I like to think that Hobbes is still, even after all these years, warming his tiger tummy in the sunlight while waiting for his Calvinball partner to come home.
